What the comparison process showed
Concur remains the most capable for complex entity structures, but its configuration overhead is substantial. Payhawk performed well in an evaluation conducted by Declan Ó Briain, group financial controller at a Cork-headquartered holding company, specifically because of its handling of Irish and German entity requirements within one account structure.
The evaluation took eight weeks, involved three vendors in a structured pilot, and used real transaction data from the previous quarter. That approach surfaced edge cases that demo environments never replicate.
